Growing up in a family full of doctors and nurses, I always knew I had a passion for helping others, and quickly realized that a career in healthcare perfectly aligned with my desire to make others’ lives better. I continue to thank my family for guiding me toward such a rewarding profession as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from James Madison University with my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Nursing and received my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia.
One of my favorite things to do is to eat and discover new cuisines; imagine my excitement when I found out that I can help others feel better by using food! By first healing the gut, we can work towards improving brain health. We are all unique and each have our own stories, which is what lead me to pursue my Functional Medicine Certification. Utilizing a functional medicine approach focuses on root cause medicine and allows the body the opportunity to heal itself. I am excited to join the RIPNS team to help guide and support those that are ready to follow a path to optimal wellness.
Apart from psychiatry and nutrition, I love spending time with my wonderful husband and toddler, our families, and friends. I enjoy traveling and checking off items on my bucket list.
